The week of March 10-11, the Indiana Bar Association is offering a 5.5 hour CLE event for attorneys across the region in Indianapolis. The event is called “Construction and Contracting Without Borders” and is sure to be worthwhile for all attendees. Manion Stigger partner, A.J. On March 10, speakers from Wisconsin, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Illinois and Michigan will present on construction-related legal issues unique to their states. This will include how the different states treat claim notice provisions, pay-if-paid clauses, no-damage-for-delay clauses, mechanic’s lien remedies, and other specific construction law matters of interest to the attendees.

On March 11, the event features a panel presentation on best practices in construction arbitration. The panel will consist of an experienced construction arbitrator, a construction expert and an experienced construction litigator. This will include the factual development of the case, the presentation of evidence and witnesses, and the use of experts.
